preparing a large piece of boxwood

Using my Skelton rip saw I am sawing another large piece of boxwood, the log is too big to fit into my vice on the bench so I have got my trusty Black and Decker out.

The log was to big I had too saw it from both ends.

Now I had made the log smaller I stood on my Black and Decker to get high enough to saw the boxwood in my bench vice.

Using my other bench I cut a slice out of the boxwood.

This piece of boxwood is perfectly quarter sawn and has a very close grain.
