Winter 2019

I bought this rare 1900c 3" dovetailed mitre plane last year. I liked the engraving on the body of the plane so much, I thought I would ask my very good friend Ian Houghton to hand engrave the sides of my plane in the same manner. I am thrilled to bits with the results and I think he has done a fantastic job. Billy G.D.Carter & MAKER the other side has Honey Bear hand engraved on the side, this plane was named by one of my customers because of the honey coloured boxwood.

We spent a really good afternoon with Ian and I showed him my workshop.
